BioShield Pest Control Introduce
For homeowners and businesses in Virginia, dealing with pest issues is a common challenge due to the region's climate, which supports a wide variety of insects and wildlife year-round. When it comes to protecting your property, a reliable and comprehensive pest control service is essential. BioShield Pest Control, located in Virginia Beach, is a service provider that has operated in the Virginia area, offering a range of extermination and prevention services designed to address these local pest concerns.
BioShield Pest Control focuses on providing solutions for various pest problems, from common household annoyances like ants and spiders to more significant threats such as termites and rodents. Their approach centers on not just removing current infestations but also on providing ongoing protection to prevent future issues. This dedication to both immediate relief and long-term management is a key consideration for anyone in the Virginia region looking for professional pest assistance.
It is worth noting for Virginia residents that in March 2022, BioShield Pest Control was acquired by Go-Forth Pest Control, a family-owned business with locations across the Carolinas and Virginia. This acquisition was aimed at expanding Go-Forth's customer base in the region and enhancing the services provided to customers in areas like Richmond, Fredericksburg, and Virginia Beach. While the name BioShield is used, customers are now part of the Go-Forth service network, which provides another layer of support from a company with a long-standing history in the pest control industry since 1959. This integration suggests a commitment to maintaining a robust service offering for the local Virginia community.
The operational hub for BioShield Pest Control is strategically located in Virginia Beach, making it accessible for service appointments across the area. This local presence is crucial for ensuring timely service, which is often a necessity when dealing with sudden pest infestations.
The primary location information is:
Address: 1431 Air Rail Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23455, USA
Being based in Virginia Beach, the company is well-positioned to serve the surrounding communities throughout the Hampton Roads area. The accessibility of the location aids the technicians in covering a wide service radius, which is particularly beneficial for Virginia homeowners and business owners needing prompt attention for both routine and emergency pest issues. For direct communication, the company provides multiple ways to reach them.
BioShield Pest Control, now operating under the umbrella of Go-Forth Pest Control, provides a comprehensive list of services tailored to the specific pest challenges faced in the Virginia region. Their services are designed to manage existing infestations and offer preventative measures for long-term protection. Services range from general pest management plans to highly specialized treatments for specific insects and wildlife.
Key services offered include:
- Ant extermination
- Bed bug extermination
- Bee extermination
- Cockroach extermination
- Flea & mite extermination
- Hornet & wasp extermination
- Mosquito extermination
- Rodent extermination
- Spider extermination
- Termite extermination and inspection
- General pest inspection
- General wildlife removal
- Onsite services
The breadth of these services demonstrates an intent to be a one-stop-shop for most residential and commercial pest control needs in the Virginia area. Whether you are dealing with common pests like spiders and ants, or require a specialized service like termite inspection, they aim to cover the full spectrum of local pest challenges.
BioShield Pest Control offers several features and procedural highlights that are designed to enhance the customer experience and the effectiveness of their pest management programs. These include customer-focused policies and structural supports that, when executed correctly, can provide significant peace of mind to Virginia residents facing pest issues.
Notable features and highlights include:
- Free Estimate and Free Home Inspection services to accurately determine the extent of the pest problem and the necessary treatment plan.
- Full Home coverage for pest control, indicating an application of treatments that goes beyond just a limited perimeter. However, one customer review noted a discrepancy where a "full yard" promise was reduced to only three feet out from the house, suggesting that customers should clarify the exact scope of yard treatment at the time of signing a contract.
- Specialized services for the most Common Pests in the area, including Fleas, Ticks, Wasps, and Hornets, which are frequent concerns for Virginia properties.
- The option for customers to use a number they can text for easier communication and scheduling, streamlining the process of coordinating services.
- Technician consultation with the customer before leaving the property to ensure all expected treatments were completed, as highlighted in one positive customer review, indicating a commitment to thoroughness at the service level.
- The company aims to be flexible with scheduling, with one customer noting that they had no trouble changing scheduled times by a day or two, which is helpful for busy Virginia households.
While the goal is to provide comprehensive and excellent service, the company's reputation, as reflected in some customer feedback, indicates areas for improvement, particularly concerning communication between the sales department and the service technicians. One extensive review pointed out that sales representatives, described as college students on a summer job, sometimes over-promise services (like "full yard" granulation or routine mosquito spraying) that the technicians are not scheduled or equipped to deliver as part of the standard contract. Customers considering BioShield/Go-Forth should, therefore, take the initiative to confirm all promised services, especially for mosquito control, directly with the servicing technician and ensure they are clearly outlined in the contract to manage expectations effectively.
For residents and businesses in Virginia interested in scheduling a service or obtaining more information, BioShield Pest Control can be reached at the following contact points. The provision of a dedicated mobile phone number for text communication is a modern convenience that many local users may find valuable.

Choosing a local pest control service in Virginia, like BioShield Pest Control (now part of Go-Forth Pest Control), means opting for a company with a local presence that is likely familiar with the specific pest pressures of the Virginia Beach area and the broader Hampton Roads region. Their wide array of services, including specialized treatments for termites, bed bugs, and seasonal pests like mosquitoes, offers a comprehensive solution for almost any pest issue a Virginia homeowner might face. The availability of a free home inspection is a valuable starting point, allowing property owners to get a no-cost assessment of their needs.
Furthermore, the positive reviews that highlight the thoroughness of the technicians and their willingness to consult with homeowners on-site are strong indicators of quality service execution. The convenience of a text-enabled communication channel also simplifies the logistics of managing routine appointments. For those seeking long-term protection, the company’s structural backing by Go-Forth Pest Control provides a sense of established corporate stability and resources.
However, prospective customers should be proactive in their engagement. Due to reported disconnects between the sales pitch and the actual service delivered, particularly regarding the full extent of exterior treatments like yard granulation and routine specialized services such as mosquito control, it is highly recommended that Virginia customers explicitly confirm the details of their service contract—especially the included pest types and treatment areas—with both the sales representative and the initial service technician. Clarity and confirmation on what is included in the routine service are key to a successful partnership with this provider and ensuring the service meets expectations.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The overall concept of this company is great. They even have a number you can text to make the communication a lot easier than having to call. Unfortunately, I have not had a great experience with this company. The initial representative that came to our house was friendly and had a fantastic pitch. After the initial service, I realized we did not get the services that we were promised. I ended up speaking to the technician about why we did not get the services that we were promised. He explained that the sales representatives are college kids that get a summer job and get as many people as they can to sign up by over-promising the companies services. He explained that it was frustrating for the technicians that they were making unrealistic promises to all of these customers, not realizing that the technicians do not have the time or manpower to deliver the services that were promised. I was told that I would have my full yard granulated and the tech explained to me that the full yard is something they do not do and they only do 3 feet out from the house. He also explained that they don't normally spray for mosquitoes when that's the main reason we signed up for the services. The company also does not coordinate when time they are going to come by so there is really no point in paying to have the inside of your house treated if you don't work from home as you will most likely be at work or leaving for work when they come to the house. We had to reschedule multiple times last month, one time being due to the technician not bringing enough product to treat our yard... why even show up in the first place? So we didn't get serviced for the month of August. This morning they showed up and they didn't mention anything about treating for mosquitoes and the technician proceeded to say that the mosquitoes are a separate service. I told him that the mosquitoes are the main reason why we signed up for their services and it is in our contract to get serviced for it. If i never brought up the fact that I wanted treated for mosquitoes, he never would have sprayed and i'm not sure that he actually did. Overall, there is a huge miscommunication between the companies sales department and the actual technicians that come out. Unfortunately, we are signed up for an entire year and we will just have to make the effort to re-schedule when they do not treat our yard up to standard. This review is not to knock the company because the concept is great but to provide additional information to those who are considering signing up for their services.
September 01 · Kay DeBoThe salesman was a little vague about the total charges, but the charges turned out OK. The technicians who serviced my property (3 services) were very good, quick, & thorough. They consulted with my wife & me before they left to make sure they had done all the treatment we expected. The treatments are effective, too. We have had no trouble with changing our scheduled times by a day or two. We are pleased with this company, BioShield of Northern Virginia.
August 11 · Keith MeederEvery single bug issue that I have had with my house since we bought it has been fixed by these guys. Cockroaches? Gone. Wasps? Dead within a day. Ants? Ain't seen them since BioShield came by. Spiders? Good luck getting rid of those around here, lol! But seriously, they're good at their job and will come out within a couple of days of making a call, no extra charge. They have cheap monthly plans that are contracted year by year, with one up front charge depending on the type. They do termite prevention too! (They do offer discounts for military folk). Highly recommend these guys if you need pest control for your house in the Virginia Beach area.
August 27 · All PoliticalThis place doesn’t tell you about contracts. We advised the lady on the phone that we are MOVING. So we needed to get some spray done to our house to make sure nothing crawls around when we are ready to rent it. When the tech came he too was shock he said if you guys are moving why did you ask for month to month huhhhh no we didn’t. So we basically was put in a contract and was told to pay , mind u this was the next day no good customer service to say oh no ok for that we can not charge you the fee to cancel since Ms lady did not tell us about no contract.
May 01 · Nordia ByrdThis company was solid. From the start, they were responsive, quality, punctual, and used natural products that wouldn't harm our pets. However, the relationship ended fast. First, I overlooked that they illegally solicited business in our private, non-solicitation neighborhood. The real issue that I had was the nonchalant mentality when I was fraudulently charged with service. I have security cameras all over my house, and I was charged for routine service when no service was provided. The company's response was "we would be happy to send them out again." I was shocked that they were not persistent in investigation the charges, offering refunds, or other remedial actions. The end of the phone call was "well if you want to cancel service, it needs to be in writing." Later, the Company claimed the provider's GPS was at my houses' location, which I can't deny, but certainly there was no treatment of the permitted of my house, inspection of termite monitors, or any other service provided. I am not saying this is a bad company, but just ensure they actually provide treatment when you are billed.
