This company prides itself on being a family-owned and operated business, offering the kind of personal, courteous service that is often expected from a local enterprise. They serve both residential and commercial clients, utilizing licensed technicians and state-approved products and procedures to address infestations. As a company operating in the heart of the Ohio Valley, they understand the specific pests common to the area, such as subterranean termites, bed bugs, and various stinging insects that are prevalent in Ohio.
A key aspect of their approach is the promise of no long-term contracts for their customers, a factor that provides flexibility and highlights their confidence in their service quality. While they offer seasonal maintenance programs, customers are not obligated to cumbersome, long-term agreements, allowing them to choose the service frequency that best meets their needs.
The company emphasizes the importance of not just treating the immediate problem, but also implementing measures to prevent future infestations, often through their maintenance plans and Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies. This forward-looking approach is crucial in an area like Ohio, where seasonal changes can bring new pest pressures, from overwintering pests to summer stinging insects.

- Real Estate Inspections: They are a certified provider for crucial real estate inspections, including reports required for VA, FHA, and HUD clearance. This service is essential for buyers and sellers in the Ohio Valley to ensure peace of mind regarding structural issues caused by wood-destroying organisms like termites.
- No Long-Term Contracts: Customers benefit from the flexibility of no mandatory long-term contracts, giving them control over their pest control scheduling and budget.

- Phone: (740) 695-1084

The availability of a free quote is a significant benefit, allowing potential customers to understand the scope and cost of their specific pest issue without an initial commitment.
For those located in St. Clairsville and the surrounding Ohio Valley, choosing a local provider like Buckeye Pest Management offers several compelling advantages over national chains. Firstly, their deep understanding of local pest behavior and climate-related infestation patterns in Ohio means they can provide more targeted and effective treatment plans. They know which pests are most active during different seasons and where they tend to hide in typical Ohio structures.
Secondly, their family-owned nature often translates to a higher degree of accountability and personalized service. While a single customer review indicated issues with communication and scheduling for an urgent problem, this is juxtaposed by other long-term customers who praise their super nice demeanor, thoroughness, and willingness to address issues during seasonal visits, such as taking care of a yellow jacket nest at no extra charge during a fall spray. This suggests a strong potential for building a beneficial, long-term relationship with customers who value consistency and a personal touch.
Finally, the combination of a comprehensive service list—addressing everything from common ants and spiders to the more destructive termites and hard-to-eliminate bed bugs—with the option of no binding long-term contracts makes them a flexible and attractive choice. Ohio residents seeking professional, reliable, and locally-informed pest control should consider Buckeye Pest Management for keeping their home or business pest-free all year long.

Buckeye Pest Management Reviews
Tech was nice but was told when I started service that if issues came up they would come right out. I called Monday morning told them I had an issue with bees in my house, I was told they were booked solid till the following week but was eager to add my seasonal session which had been done 2 monthes prior. I called next day because issue was worse and I found the "area" but it was too high and I informed the dispatcher that the hive was up on the roof, she rudely blew me off saying she'd call back if any openings(never heard from her) Come appt time a week after intial call and the tech shows up no ladder and no equipment to take care of the initial problem I called for but yet still wants to do and charge me for my seasonal spray while telling me it'll be another 3+ days till he can get the proper equipment and then FIT ME BACK INTO SCHEDULE!! To me this is just terrible business and unacceptable all around no communication no follow up poor customer service from the dispatcher responsible in relaying info. Didn't want to have to use the big commercial pest controls wanted to support a local business but unfortunately just too poor of service for me.
October 02 · Jaycutlerblows22They have been providing our seasonal sprays for 3 years now. They are always super nice and thorough. They address anything that you tell them while they are there.Recently we noticed a yellow jacket nest on the porch which definitely was a problem. They took care of it as part of our fall spray at no extra charge!I will continue to use them!
September 17 · Chris DWe are having big problems with mice. We called and they basically told us there is nothing they can do because we have dogs. I don't understand how a pest control company can't do anything about pests! Useless!
October 17 · Wendy DennisonThis is the WORST company i have ever had the displeasure of contacting. I recently purchased a home and found some termite damage. Not knowing if this was old or new damage, I contacted Buckeye Pest Control, as they were the company that the transferred service plan was under for the past 3 years or so. After asking the receptionist if she could tell me if they had ever treated my house for active termites and the date of that treatment, she was EXTREMELY rude to me and told me that would require her to leave her seat and go pull my file and she was too busy to do that! She said she'd have to call me back at the end of the day with the information. I bit my tongue and agreed. No phone call. The next day came and around noon still nothing from these people. So I called and the receptionist again stated she had been too busy to pull my file but promised she'd call me by the end of the day . 3:45 rolls around and still no call. I call a third time, very upset at this point and the receptionist tells me for a THIRD time that she is just too busy to handle my request and she would pull it and call me back . I got upset and asked to speak with a manager, explaining my frustration and anger at the complete lack of professionalism and common courtesy I received . She cut me off mid sentence and hung up on me. About 10 minutes later I get a phone call back from Buckeye Pest Control , only it wasnt the receptionist. Another employee had my file out and told me the date of my last treatment, but could not tell me where the active termites had been . There was no report, no graph, nothing . I asked how they could send someone each year to do an " inspection" and not know what they are looking for or in what part of the house? She had no answer for. me . Then she had the audacity to ask if I'd like a free inspection. I told her I wouldnt be using their company and why. I told her in detail the mistreatment I received from the receptionist, hoping she would at the very least be as appalled as I was. Nope! All I got was a " sorry, if you change your mind let us know."SO, I would not recommend this company to ANYONE . If you have a pest problem or suspect one, please use anyone else but Buckeye Pest Control. If this is how the receptionist treats their customers and the behavior is obviously allowable, think of what they as a company are like.
September 20 · Kylie DeneenUPDATE: after speaking with the owner, a different crew was sent to my home and they actually found where the problem was and we went from there. They treated that day and came back in a few weeks to retreat. Somewhat more satisfied now but still aggravated with how long it took to finally get a crew to take the time and effort to find the problem.ORIGINAL: With my particular situation they know nothing about what we are dealing with. They claim to take care of the problem but if they cant see a problem they wont treat. They clear are unprofessional and are out to make $$$$ at others expense. I wouldn't refer them to anyone. Id stick with Large Companies such as Terminex! If something changes in the meantime i will definitely update this review.
