Strand Termite & Pest Control Introduce
For decades, residents and business owners across the South Carolina Grand Strand have relied on a local expert to protect their most significant investment—their property—from the relentless threat of insects, rodents, and moisture damage. Strand Termite & Pest Control, based in Little River, has established itself as a cornerstone of comprehensive pest management in the region. As a full-service company with over 50 years of experience serving the Carolinas, they possess an unmatched understanding of the specific pest pressures unique to our humid, coastal climate, where termites, moisture, and common household pests thrive.
The company provides a wide array of services designed not just to treat existing infestations, but to implement long-term preventative measures. Their approach integrates traditional and modern methods, utilizing specialized products and techniques like conventional liquid termite treatments and the highly effective Termidor Treatment. Furthermore, recognizing the profound impact of humidity near the coast, Strand Termite & Pest Control places a critical emphasis on essential moisture control solutions, particularly for crawl spaces, which are highly susceptible to moisture-related wood decay and are breeding grounds for many pests.
While the business has a long-standing history of being locally owned and operated, recent changes in ownership have been noted by long-term customers, as is common in a dynamic industry. However, the core service model, dedicated local technicians like Elton, and commitment to comprehensive coverage—from general pests to complex moisture issues—continue to be the foundation of their operation. They remain a primary provider for the coastal region, ensuring that both residential and commercial properties from Little River all the way to Georgetown are covered by a trusted, experienced team.
Their philosophy centers on thoroughness and attention to detail, a quality frequently highlighted in customer testimonials. This focus is crucial in a coastal environment where pest control is not a seasonal chore, but a year-round necessity. Whether you own a beach house, a condominium, or a commercial space, Strand Termite & Pest Control aims to provide the peace of mind that comes from knowing your structure is protected.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Have been with Strand Termite & Pest for 11 years with prompt and timely service over the last 10 years. Since Anticimex has taken over the timely service has ended. I have always scheduled my appointments quarterly for the year. Tech always came on time. Since Anticimex has taken over, tech shows up during a 3-hour window. Why could a company come on time for years and now needs a 3-hour window. I have things to do besides wait 3 hours for someone to show up. Highly disappointed with the new takeover. Going to loose a long-time customer
October 02 · Priscilla Shannonl decided to give a compliment about one of your technicians, Elton. He did our quarterly service today and was extremely thorough and attentive to detail. He truly exceeded my expectations, and we've been with your company for 10 years.
October 03 · John RatynskiBrian arrived to do my quarterly service and did a fantastic job. He was friendly and knowledgable and I hope he continues to come back for my services!
September 24 · Leslie FosterI used to love strand and gave it 5 stars but since they sold out to Anticimex, it’s been a disaster. Scheduling is a nightmare, they will schedule their own time in advance and not even tell you when it is, they’ll spray your exterior if you aren’t home and then you have to reschedule to get the interior….you can’t just show up to a house, spray it and then invoice someone without them approving it- that’s a scam. This last service they sent 2 technicians out (unbeknownst to the technicians they were double booked, but then the first one had to come back anyways later that day because he said he didn’t have the ticket for the termite bond). I have historically requested the same technician because having different people in and out of my house is unsettling and was told since selling out that wasn’t an option anymore. They hiked prices up and didn’t tell me until I asked about it, then said they could do a lesser increase since I was a previous customer…don’t you think you should tell people before? My last frustration was that on my last confirmation email, there was a number listed to text or call- I texted, no response for days. I called, it said the number was out of service. How do you not proofread communication to make sure all info is accurate? The technicians Kenny and Michael are phenomenal but the front office staff is an absolute disaster and is infuriating.
August 05 · Callie BarberI have been using Strand for three years now. In the past I've always received reminders from the company that it was time for my yearly termite inspection. They would come out look around and treat the house as to not have issues. This year I didn't receive anything so I called to make the appointment. I asked the lady on the phone how much it was going to cost. She said $175. I thought ok, same as last year. When the technician came out (he was very polite and professional) he stated they no longer spray for yearly inspections. $175 for someone to just come look around at my baseboards. This company is no longer the same. Time I take my business elsewhere.DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!
