Unlike general exterminators, Critter Control's approach is deeply rooted in wildlife management principles, employing a staff that includes certified wildlife specialists, biologists, and zoologists. Their philosophy centers on the CritterSafe approach, prioritizing non-lethal removal techniques, such as one-way doors and live trapping, to minimize stress on the animals while ensuring they are permanently and safely evicted from your home or business. Once the animal is removed, the focus shifts to robust exclusion and repair work to prevent future re-entry, a crucial final step for long-term protection against Indiana's active wildlife population.

Choosing a wildlife management company is a serious decision, as it impacts the immediate safety of your property and the long-term integrity of your structure. What is worth choosing about Critter Control is their fundamental specialization in nuisance wildlife. Most general pest control companies focus on insects; Critter Control focuses on vertebrates—the animals that cause the most significant physical damage to homes in Indiana, such as Raccoons, Bats, and Squirrels. Their expertise ensures that the entire process, from humane Live Trapping to critical Animal Damage Repair and Wildlife Exclusion, is handled by specialized professionals. This is essential for complex problems like Bat Removal, which requires adherence to strict conservation laws and specific exclusion techniques that an untrained professional cannot safely or legally perform. The commitment to a comprehensive approach—Get Them Out, Keep Them Out, Fix the Damage—is the true value proposition.
However, potential customers in Indiana should be aware of past customer experiences. While the company's core services are highly specialized, previous customer feedback has highlighted instances of poor communication, slow response times for follow-up issues, and disputes over honoring the terms of the signed contract, particularly concerning damage repair caused during the exclusion process. One customer noted that they had to call "several times" to have a key step (the one-way door) installed, and another reported taking "24 to 48 hours to respond if at all," ultimately calling it the "worst experience" with "poor customer service." Furthermore, one report indicated a refusal to fix collateral damage despite a contractual agreement.
Therefore, while Critter Control offers an industry-leading, necessary specialization in complex, humane wildlife removal and exclusion—a service that many general pest companies cannot match—it is worth choosing them only with a clear, written agreement on all service phases, including repair timelines and warranty coverage, and by confirming communication protocols upfront. Their deep expertise in Animal Damage Repair and Exclusion remains a powerful reason to choose them for severe wildlife infestations that threaten the structural integrity of your Indiana property.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I had a very bad experience with this company. They are very hard to get in touch with. The gentleman that gave me the quote (Phil) told me he will be available whenever I had a question or issue. He was not it took him 24 to 48 hours to respond if at all. I called the 800 number and got the run around they told me a manager would call me back never heard from anyone. They had no problem taking my money. Just the worst experience I've ever had poor customer service.
September 05 · Edrych HarveySince we had used Critter Control of Indianapolis in 2022 for a squirrel issue we called them again in March 2025 for suspected Raccoon in our attic. From the start communication was horrible. I had to call several times to have the one way door installed. Then we thought we heard babies and even though I called several times it took 7-10 days for somebody to come and check. The raccoon did additional damage to siding and trim the day after the one way door was installed. But Critter Control of Indianapolis refused to fix the damage, even though the signed agreement states otherwise. I am very disappointed with their lack of customer service and refusal to honor the signed contract terms. I would not hire them again.
August 21 · Lori TaylorEverything went well. Our raccoon problem was resolved. I only gave 4 stars b/c it took two months to return and remove the temporary door installed to remediate the problem. The technicians were FABULOUS!
July 29 · Laurie SerakNo call, no show.Update — I called the next day and was told someone would come out at 5pm. They didn’t show up until 8pm and the guy was clearly tired, which was understandable, but said he’d contact me first thing in the morning about him and his supervisor coming back to check the outside of the house. I was contacted by a supervisor at 10:17 am the next morning and was told he was going to contact the worker that came out the night before and have him come back out. I was contacted by that worker at 6:09pm, saying they wouldn’t be able to come out that day. I told him just to forget it. And then they responded to my review and said they couldn’t do it because of a structural or accessibility issue, but no one even checked the exterior of the house. Don’t waste your time. 🙂
April 11 · C GWas told I would get my money back in 5-7 business days due to than not being able to guarantee the raccoons would be gone so they did absolutely nothing. Fair enough, until I never got my money back! I reported the company to my bank and I will be filing papers through the court if my $500 isn’t in my account in the next week. It’s been OVER A MONTH!! Worst business I’ve ever had to work with.
