Advanced Wildlife & Pest Control Introduce
Introduction / Overview
Advanced Wildlife & Pest Control is a local, owner-operated service based in Auburn, Indiana, dedicated to addressing conflicts between local residents and nuisance wildlife and pests. Operating under the ownership of Bill Knapp, the company specializes in comprehensive general wildlife removal and professional pest inspection services tailored to the unique challenges of the Northeast Indiana environment.
In a region where interactions with wildlife are common—from groundhogs burrowing under porches to various animals seeking shelter in residential structures—Advanced Wildlife & Pest Control provides essential, hands-on assistance. The service aims to be a prompt and dedicated solution for homeowners struggling with unwelcome visitors. This locally focused company is set up to handle general pest management needs and is notably experienced in the prompt trapping and removal of nuisance animals, allowing local users to quickly reclaim their property and peace of mind.
The core philosophy centers on direct service, with the owner often personally involved in client interactions and fieldwork. This approach is intended to ensure that a knowledgeable professional handles every step of the process, from initial call to final removal.
Location and Accessibility
Advanced Wildlife & Pest Control operates out of Auburn, positioning itself perfectly to serve DeKalb County and the surrounding communities in Northeast Indiana. This local base allows for focused and, often, rapid service delivery across the region.
The company's primary operating address is: 4107 Co Rd 35, Auburn, IN 46706, USA.
As a local business, accessibility is key, particularly when dealing with urgent wildlife intrusions. A customer review highlights the company’s ability to respond quickly, noting that a call for a groundhog issue early one Friday morning resulted in the setting of a trap by 2 PM the same day. This dedication to a rapid initial response is a significant advantage for Indiana residents experiencing immediate wildlife disturbance or property damage.
The company is structured to facilitate direct communication with its professionals, ensuring that homeowners can bypass long queues and automated systems often associated with national franchises. The ability to quickly reach the owner, Bill Knapp, for service and follow-up is intended to streamline the entire control process.
Services Offered
Advanced Wildlife & Pest Control focuses on two main, crucial areas of property management for Indiana homeowners: general wildlife management and foundational pest inspection.
- General Wildlife Removal: This service covers the humane trapping and removal of common nuisance mammals that often infringe on residential and suburban areas.
- Targeted trapping and removal of specific animals, such as the successful handling of groundhogs found digging or hiding near homes.
- General removal of various wildlife species that pose a threat or nuisance to the property or its occupants.
- Rapid deployment of trapping solutions to address immediate threats or intrusions.
- General Pest Inspection: The foundation of effective, long-term pest management is accurate identification and assessment.
- Thorough property inspections to identify common pest issues.
- Assessment of entry points and conditions that attract local pests.
- Identification of pest activity beyond visible nuisance animals, helping homeowners understand underlying issues.
- Pest Control Service: Addressing identified pest issues within the scope of their expertise, focusing on local, pervasive problems.
The service model is built around solving acute problems, such as removing animals that have already established a presence near or under a home's structure.
Features / Highlights
Advanced Wildlife & Pest Control stands out primarily due to its localized focus and the direct involvement of its owner in service delivery, which appeals to many local Indiana customers seeking accountability and expertise.
- Local Expertise and Ownership: The company is a sole proprietorship owned by Bill Knapp, ensuring that clients deal directly with the individual responsible for the company’s reputation and service quality. This localized knowledge is essential for understanding the specific wildlife patterns and behaviors common to Auburn and Northeast Indiana.
- Prompt Response for Trapping: The willingness to deploy traps quickly is a major highlight. The instance of a same-day trap setup for a groundhog illustrates a strong commitment to fast action, which is often critical when wildlife is causing ongoing damage or worry.
- Focus on Nuisance Wildlife: While offering general pest inspection, the company shows a distinct ability to manage specific, persistent wildlife problems, such as groundhogs that are notoriously difficult to dislodge from under decks or porches. The commitment to returning to set a second trap, as mentioned in a review, shows dedication to completing the removal process.
- Direct Customer Interaction: The simple, direct transaction process—being able to call Bill directly—is a feature many prefer over the multi-layered communication of larger national companies. This fosters a relationship of local trust and straightforward service negotiation.
It is also important to note that customer experiences with the business show variability. While one client praised the promptness and successful removal of a groundhog, another reported significant issues with service completion, unexpected charges, and alleged unprofessional communication. Potential clients should consider both the praised speed of service and the reported concerns regarding billing clarity and final job completion before engaging.

August 29 · Julianna & Mason ColeI had the most unprofessional transaction with this business. The worker left before the work was finished promising to return.3 1/2 months later I called to get the rest of the job finished. It took about.month later to get.the rest of the work done. I was charged an extra $89 for this work. it was our understanding that we had already paid in full.I received no receipt. I was threatened with a lien if I did not pay. I was verbally abused on the phone and in texts.I highly recommend that you not use this company.
April 18 · Karen StephensI called on a Saturday and left a message. I received a call back the same day and service set up for Monday to remove baby raccoons from my attic. The job was done professionally with everything put back in place that needed to be removed to gain access. Very reasonable priced and excellent service.
May 11 · Tiffany DobnickBen and Kyle responded quickly after my call. They identified the bat problem, put a one way tube in the problem hole and set up for any other animals in the attic as well as mice outside. They even hung our bat houses at the proper height! They explained what they were doing, answered questions and worked in a timely manner. When they came back to check the tube they were thorough and discovered no other animal activity in the attic. Very impressed with service , knowledge and attitude! Thanks so much!
